I'm Not a Hoarder, I'm a collector of Vintage Chic!

Who are you calling a Hoarder? I just collect stuff. Sometimes I just save things from going into landfills, other times I save things from those who don't appreciate them. Isn't this what we tell ourselves when we love all things vintage? I know that I have had to ask myself more than once, "Do I really need this?" Usually I say,"What? Are you kidding me of course I do!" Somewhere during this analytical conversation with myself I always start talking aloud, which will have someone inevitably look over & grin at me. I always respond the same way, "I talk to myself sometimes, please just ignore me." Most times the other person will laugh & respond, "Me too. especially when I'm trying to talk myself out of buying something I know I don't need or have room for at home." Yes a fellow hoarder or recovering hoarder! We are everywhere...well in America....we are everywhere.

I have given away more things or treasures, as I like to call them than I care to recall. When I am flipping channels on the "Idiot Box" aka TV & I happen across the show "Hoarders", it always compels me to clean & organize, which leads to gifting some of my treasures to new homes. I try to skip that particular show for just that reason.

Vintage Chic is about saving treasures from bygone times, re-purposing, salvaging items that would otherwise be decaying in a trash heap, cluttering up the world even more. It is wise to reuse or re-purpose items rather than to keep purchasing inferior quality junk from anywhere especially from China. China is the one hit wonder of merchandise. Use it once & discard it afterwards.

I love the things that remind me of my childhood & simpler times before the internet, when drive in theaters brought people closer together. A time when people had real conversations, wrote love letters & gathered around the dinner table to eat. A time before crack, meth, heroin & cocaine had gripped our nation. A time when no one was discussing transgender bathrooms or sanctuary cities, when men were men, women were women & everyone was proud to be an American citizen. What the hell happened? Protests about everything, anything, nothing lest we forget being offended. Stop the madness! Collect your thoughts as if they were items & place them in order of importance, in the event of a catastrophe. When placed into perspective some of these collective thoughts are broken junk worthy of being tossed. Don't be a hoarder of broken thoughts. Ponder what matter to you, research, repair your thought process if necessary or make changes to what you previously thought to be relevant or true after research, thought & maybe a prayer or meditation.

You can call me a hoarder if you like. I'm sure I've been called worse sometime in my lifetime. I box up things from time to time just to see if I can live without them. I rearrange items for no reason other than to get a new perspective in my humble abode. I don't think I'm a hoarder. I can see my counter-tops, my floors, my furniture,  although my husband says I have entirely too many pillows, candles, books but they are all in their place. No I'm not a hoarder. I'm simply a respecter of vintage items that speak to me, thus I call it "Vintage Chic" decor. I find the term salvage reminds me of a graveyard for autos. I'm living with my vintage chic items. No you can never have too many pillows or candles, contrary to what my husband believes.

Take a moment to look around your home & truly look at the items you surround your self with. Do you have a fondness for this item or is it just collecting dust? You can always have a garage sell or consign items if you feel you are starting to get claustrophobic or that you are seeing less & less of the baseboards or walls than you should. Embrace your inner hoarder. Be unique, be true to yourself, be happy in your surroundings.  I'm not a hoarder, I'm a collector is what I tell myself. My inner hoarder responds, "Well good luck with that!"

Hillary Clinton spent months spouting, "This is not a Reality TV show!", but she was wrong yet again. We Americans witnessed the ultimate Reality TV Show that lasted far longer than 13 episodes, this mega marathon went on for a year & a half, although it seem like decades. Nonetheless, we could not tune it out, even if we wanted to because almost every where we turned it was blaring at us. It was everywhere, like your Mom when you're 14 years old! We have reality checks galore. We have humble pie with a side order of crow eating contest followed by a rousing order of shoveling manure.

We had sex, lies, videotape, audiotape, lies, accusations, name calling, humor, screeching, limitless budgets, late term abortion, spirit cooking & occasionally promises to either go farther than a the previous guy while growing stronger or building walls for safety while simultaneously making money. We heard Hillary talk about coddling illegals & renaming them undocumented citizens or asylum seekers. Trump spoke of banning sanctuary cities that coddle illegals & deporting them back to their homelands. There were even ladies who accused Bill Clinton of rape & groping them, while Hillary & Bill Clinton neither one denied the accusations & Bill did in fact pay one of them almost a million dollars two decades ago, then the Clinton's managed to act, as if these ladies did not exist on planet Earth. Meanwhile back at the Trump camp, they starting dodging women coming out of the woodwork like ghosts in a paranormal series. The funny thing about this seemingly endless parade of women  was that one by one their stories got more outlandish than the next, as if they were vying for their 15 minutes of fame. Also one by one the stories were debunked as false & one of them did admit to receiving payment from the Hillary camp to falsely smear Trump with lies.  Trump threatened law suits & all the women shut up miraculously. Wow! 

Hillary never did shut up neither did Trump. The insults went on for months until they were more than most people could bear & we all felt like we had seen one too many slasher films. The ultimate Reality TV show climaxed with a twist & turn ending that shocked the mainstream media along with Hollywood. The season finale was a real shocker for some & expected outcome for others, as America shouted with glee as the new President of the United States Donald J. Trump was elected as our 45th President. Hillary Clinton refused to show her face to many of her adoring fans as they waited in cold temps in New York City, on election night. She finally mad a dramatic appearance looking like a battered soldier after a long battle, but wearing a royal purple & black pantsuit ensemble, which Tim Kaine, his wife & Bill Clinton had to coordinate with her. The Royal purple mourning brigade marched on stage as if going to the gallows. No one could have scripted any of this election 2016.

So if you still think the Real Housewives or any other Reality TV show has shown us more than the campaign for the White House 2016, then you are just plain wrong! Millions of people watched & hundreds of millions of people voted, even some dead folks appeared as zombies to vote continue to vote Democrat. You know those liberals do not go off into the night without a fight. The Ultimate Reality Show starred Donald J. Trump & Hillary Rodham Clinton. Either you loved them, hated them or you just wanted to never see them again, but you could not quit watching them. America cheered them on until the last moments somewhere near 3 am on Nov 9, 2016, when Trump was declared the winner & America's next President. Does anyone else feel like he should have taken a walk down a long runway with a sash? America Won & we should all be elated, to have the opportunity to reunite as a nation, from the divisiveness of the last eight years. We should pull together. Americans of both genders & various races voted in Donald J. Trump, as President & likewise we should all help each other to heal. 

The rioting & temper tantrums from the leftist liberals must stop! Your candidate did not win, so you will go out & protest or riot. Will you also make a video tape? Your candidate did not win & at this point what difference does it make? Grow up & realize you will not get paid anymore to protest. You will have to pay your own way in this world & if you insist on behaving badly, cursing at newscasters because you think it's cool to use swear words on national TV, then maybe you should go back home to Daddy's basement to live until you can grow up & toughen up. The world owes you nothing! You can either be a productive part of society or you can cower in a corner being offended like a coward. The choice is yours because America is the land of the free, where you have choices & we salute freedom. One more footnote, if you insist on burning the American flag & stomping on it, then get your sorry ass to the closest border & cross it with the Hollywood & music industry elitists. True American are proud of our flag & those who died for it, so you buttercups can protests & burn our flags, even though you are unappreciative spoiled brats! 

All of us who did not vote for Obama endured blows one after the other to the gut & we turned our cheeks to be repeatedly slapped. We took it on the chin for eight long years biding our time until we could free ourselves from the tyranny of the Obama & Biden reign accompanied by Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Loretta Lynch & Eric Holder as supporting cast members. Yet all of you offended, liberal globalists can only find solace in rioting, marching in protests, burning or damaging other people's property because you say "Love Trumps Hate", but you are the largest group of haters among us. Hillary Clinton & Obama along with all of the Democrats waved the tattered race card until it was frayed. America flipped out Trump card back at you & now you're offended so you will throw a tantrum. Grow up!

God Bless America & God please guide Donald J. Trump & Mike Pence, as they lead America for the next 4-8 years. Can we finally hear Trump say,"You're Fired!" I suppose that will come in the spin off series "Make America Great Again!"

I'm Not mincing my words when I say the next statement: 

Let it be known very clearly that ALL who call themselves Trump Protesters who are actually Rioters, who burn the American flag, while waving a Mexican Flag or any flag, You are not fooling anyone with your Thug actions. You protest that you want tolerance, but you are Not tolerant of anyone who wishes to hear speech from anyone but whom you choose & that is not freedom it is totalitarianism. Freedom of Speech guarantees those who wish to hear Mr. Donald Trump give speeches, can hear him speak & lay out his plan for America.   Furthermore if ALL of you who burn the American flag, wave a Mexican flag or any other flag, you may find the nearest exit sign & leave America, to go to Mexico or wherever you choose according to the flag you are waving!!! 

ALL who burn the American flag your sorry asses better run for the border because God fearing, America loving Citizens have had Enough of the BS thrust upon us by the Progressive left administration holding office. Let me be perfectly clear on this, feel free to take your liberal ass opinions elsewhere such as Europe, Mexico or the Middle East, because I for one am sick of hearing your ignorant chants. You are solidifying Mr. Trump will be the next American president with your intolerance for the rights of others who Choose to hear Trump speak. America offers rights to our Citizens, not to undocumented or illegals who entered this country illegally or to those who came here with visas & over stayed their visa. American citizens are taking back our country from those idiots who call themselves Democrats, Progressives, Socialists, Liberals & Undocumented citizens which means ILLEGALS!

 

American citizens will not tolerate the burning of OUR BELOVED AMERICAN FLAG by fascists, socialists, traitors, idiots, progressives, morons, lazy ass Gen X, illegals, communists or Hillary loving law breakers!!!! If you are one of the aforementioned Anti-Americans feel FREE to exit America! As AMERICANS we have freedoms, so by all means use your Freedom to take Your Ungrateful Ass to another country & do not return! Let's see how your Lazy, Ungrateful asses are received by Mexico, South America, Cuba, Europe, the Middle East or Asia.
