Happy Holidaze:
One of my favorite things about the Holidaze is the comforting smells of baking that permeate around the house. Cinnamon banana nut bread, vanilla coffee & hot peach tea are currently filling the air. Each day brings a new scent of wintertime & the comforts of home. It's the little things like eating banana bread with hot coffee or hot tea, while you stare at the stars or watch the sunrise that make life special. The realization that not one of us can create a star or a sunrise puts into perspective how insignificant we are as are our problems; having said that God finds each one of us important. Each & everyone of us is important enough to God that he knows our needs before we ask.
Make time for God each day & along the way make time each day to put your feet up, appreciate the beauty of God's creations & find your serenity. Smile at someone for no reason other than they are not smiling.
Christmas is the day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Santa Claus tradition is a by product of commercialism. Happy Holidaze is the term I use to describe the lunacy that has taken over the winter months. I'll leave you with this thought: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting light. Jesus is the reason for the Christmas holiday season. Merry Christmas!
