April Rain brings forth Spring:The rebirth of the earth

April rain brings forth Spring: The rebirth of the earth
 written by Lisa Morgan

The rain finally stopped on Easter Sunday afternoon. The sun peeked from behind the grey clouds as the sky was teasing me with a hint of blue skies. The trees seemed to have diamond earrings dangling from the branches but alas it was simple raindrops clinging to the branches reminding me of diamond earrings hung from the earlobes of a young lady, as she prepares for a suitor. Isn't funny how life in it's simplicity can give us such beauty if we are willing to open our eyes to view it.

I prefer my eggs au naturel  versus being dyed with color on Easter, that is not to say that for decades I didn't color eggs like most people do prior to celebrating the appearance of the elusive Easter bunny. Nowadays I'm more into reflecting on Easter, just not as a day of chocolate bunnies, multi colored eggs dyed with chemicals sitting in plastic baskets made in China; but as a day of thankfulness that Christ resurrected. I'll take my eggs farm fresh with some roses with the dew or raindrops glistening off of them.

April rains bring forth the spring temperatures along with re-growth of vegetation. Spring flowers love the new rain. It's a cleansing so to speak for the earth or a rebirth after a frigid, dark winter. We could all use a good cleansing. Starting fresh with a new attitude. I hope everyone had a blessed Easter or Resurrection Day. John 3:16 comes to my mind: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believes upon him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is what we should celebrate, not dyed eggs or Easter, which by the way if you Google Easter; you find it is a pagan goddess named Ishtar. The Christian Bible warns against Ishtar & following pagan gods. Just an FYI about how American holidays have gotten us off track from God's holy word. I prefer to believe God's word & not celebrate Easter but celebrate Jesus's sacrifice for all sins. Our belief in Christ Jesus is liken to a rebirth after a cold, dark time of darkness & being lost in the world. May your week be filled with the beauty & bounty of the earth. God bless those who choose to follow the word of God, the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob (the Hebrews). God bless America!
